Days of our Lives spoilers made sure fans didn’t have to wait long to find out who kidnapped Ben from his own wedding. First, there was the Keanu Reeves lookalike, Vincent, who explained that he did it for the best reason of all – because he was paid to.

But who paid Keanu/Vincent? It was Eve (Kassie DePaiva), in revenge for Ben killing her precious daughter, Paige. It’s a good reason. And Eve presumably even has the money to pay for such an abduction, courtesy of what she inherited from Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). But you know has an even better reason? And even more money? Abigail (Marci Miller)!
Payback is a Bitch
Abigail was Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) first victim. He held her hostage in a cabin (and not in the sexy way he did later with Ciara), he forced her to give birth without any pain killers (a death penalty offense), then kidnapped the baby, left Abigail and Chad (Billy Flynn) to die on a burning bed, which led to Abigail’s first mental breakdown. She tried to set Ben on fire. Abigail is a big ‘let the punishment fit the crime’ sort of girl.

Turnabout Is Fair Play
And what could be a more fitting punishment for Ben, in Abigail’s view, than to turn him back into The Necktie Killer, so that everybody could see that Ben hasn’t changed at all, that Abigail was right all along? He is mean, mean, mean! (To quote Susan Banks.)
Killing Eve
Sure, Eve is taking credit for the wedding explosion and follow-up kidnapping. But that doesn’t mean she did it alone. DiMera money… and connections… are super handy for jobs like this. Abigail has both. As well as a common goal with Eve.
Sure, maybe everyday Abigail wouldn’t go to these lengths. But when we last saw her, she wasn’t in her right mind either. It’s a perfect storm of means, motive, opportunity… and revenge! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
