Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) troubles at the hospital reach a fever pitch to the point where she even has to clean out her office and leave her job.
Steve (Stephen Nichols) tries to take her mind off things with a romantic evening, but he still knows something more is going on than what appears on the surface.
Imagine Steve’s surprise when he comes to a startling realization about Tripp (Lucas Adams). Does he learn of his son’s mistake–thanks to Jade–and drastic revenge actions?
Dastardly Dario
At least Steve is not trying to solve a murder mystery that seems to be encompassing the rest of the town. John (Drake Hogestyn) and Paul (Christopher Sean) interrogate Xander (Paul Telfer), but it turns out Dario is still insistent that Chad is the culprit.
To that end, Abigail (Marci Miller) does everything in her power to erase that evidence with the help of Andre (Thaao Penghlis) and Theo (Kyler Pettis).
Just when she thinks she has the upper hand, Dario surprises her and then blackmails her into leaving town with him.
Chad (Billy Flynn) can’t believe Abby would leave her son and move to Mexico (just call her Theresa), but also admits he lied to Gabi (Camila Banus) about Abby.

Brady’s Plot
Yes, Brady (Eric Martsolf) also lost a woman to Mexico not even a year ago, but now he has a new one lined up in Nicole (Arianne Zucker).
However, he can tell Nicole still has feelings for Eric despite her anger.
Eric (Greg Vaughan) tells Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) that Brady has an ulterior motive for pushing them together, and Jennifer confronts him.
Later, Nicole discovers Eric’s secret and comes to a decision about him.
