The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, May 19, 2020, features Maggie surviving her deadly attempt, Xander spreading some good news, and Orpheus terrorizing the town.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
The race was on to help Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) as Victor (John Aniston) was beside himself (not enough to budge from the bed, but in a panic nonetheless). Will (Chandler Massey) went to the jail to see what was going on while Sonny (Freddie Smith) waited with his granddad. Justin (Wally Kurth) joined them and the men griped about all Victor’s past deeds.
All’s Almost Well That Ends Almost Well For Maggie
Xander (Paul Telfer) managed to save Maggie (single-handedly, no less) and luckily so. Maggie was angry at first but soon realized her plight was for nothing. She didn’t drink that night, she didn’t drive, and she didn’t kill Adrienne or the baby. It was all an elaborate setup.
The hospital crew in Victor’s room was relieved when they finally got news Maggie was okay. They were even more relieved to find out Maggie was innocent. She was not the culprit – Orpheus was! Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) told them the whole story since she was the prison doctor too. (Doc of all trades!) She put some serious mileage on those shoes running between hospitals today.
How Dare You?!
Meanwhile, the hunt for Orpheus (George DelHoyo) went off the rails. Rafe (Galen Gering) blamed Zoey. What a coincidence she would step up to babysit at the exact time Orpheus was on the prowl? Zoey pleads her innocence. She’s not like her family (much like Rafe isn’t like Gabi).
Zoey regained his trust by telling Rafe everything she knew. She said her dad was taking off to “see a friend.” Rafe put the pieces together and realized that meant John. If they find one, they would find the other two. He took off to see Marlena.
The Baddest Baddie
Speaking of John (Drake Hogestyn), he almost saved himself and David when Orpheus left them alone. He nearly convinced the tot to bring him his phone only to be thwarted at the last minute.
As for Marlena, she called upon Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) for help. Rafe got there just in time. Orpheus called Marlena and she put him on speaker. Orpheus caught on, though, and demanded another five million dollars and for Marlena to get rid of her friends, or else! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
