Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, May 8, 2019, features a day of crushing blows, finger pointing, and earth-shattering breakups.
Word of Holly’s untimely death traveled fast and furious through the Salem crowd. Poor Nicole (Arianne Zucker) struggled to process the situation. She fought her way back to Holly only to lose her forever. She blamed Eric (Greg Vaughan) for not fighting harder to keep Holly. She walked out on Eric and swore to never look back.
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was tasked with breaking the news to Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) and Stefan (Brandon Barash). Chloe broke down and went over everything she did wrong. Her job was to protect Holly and she failed.
Also playing the blame game were Victor (John Aniston) and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). His treatment of Chloe drove her away leading to her seek refuge at the DiMera mansion in the first place. However, Victor did not see things that way at all. The ONLY person to blame was Nicole. She played with fire and she got burned.

Tensions rose when Kate (Lauren Koslow) got involved. She sided with Victor which sent Maggie into a tailspin. The ordeal nearly drove her to drink. It took everything she had to walk away from the alcohol demon.
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) pointed her finger at Rafe (Galen Gearing). This all came down to his heroics. He was ordered to stay out of it and let Ted (Gilles Marini) do his job but no, he stepped in. Hope put him on immediate suspension and demanded his gun and badge. With that, Rafe ended their marriage. Enough was enough and he couldn’t take it anymore. Speaking of Ted, he was over the moon at how his twisted game turned out.
Holly was safe in her new house, Hope was single, and he comes out the good guy. As long as he and Xander keep their secret all will be well in Ted’s world. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
