The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, July 17 features a day of blackmail, schemes lies upon lies, and a life-altering decision. Xander held his own, Gabi went after everyone, and Jack had a revelation.
You’re Not This Guy
Jenn (Melissa Reeves) had it out about many things. Her scathing reviews of his administration, his wife, his treatment of their children, but most of all, his lack of desire to remember her.
She was furious at him because she felt his anti-immigrant speeches got JJ and Haley kicked out of their apartment. He defended himself by saying he was just upholding the rule of law and decided to revoke her press pass.
Jack Gave In
However, Jen would not give up. She presented him with one of his own editorials from years ago. It was about freedom of the press and how fascism can creep up on a country. It gave him great pause and he decided he did want the serum, after all.
Give It Up!
The race was on to get the REAL truth about the kidnapping and several people jumped into action. Gabi went after Kate (Lauren Koslow) to no avail. Eve (Kassie DePaiva) had it out with Ted (Gilles Marini) and even offered him the DA position. But, nothing she said did any good either. He kept his lips zipped and firmly turned down her offer.
Two New Faces
Gabi (Camila Banus) decided to go straight to the source and showed up at Nicole’s door. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was in the middle of a freak out over her mask and Xander’s joke replacement. Gabi was not going away and so, Kristen had to answer the door masked as a Mexican wrestler.
The situation gave Kristen some food for thought, though. She needed a new face and realized there was another solution. She donned a Susan costume and bam! She had a life outside the room again.
You’re Fired….You’re Blackmailed!
Over at the Kiriakis mansion, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Xander (Paul Telfer) had it out. Brady tried to fire Xander due to his non-felony and non-compete clauses but the bad boy stood his ground. He blackmailed Brady and got to keep his job, at least for now. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
