The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, December 22, 2020, features a brave escape attempt, Charlie facing his victim, and Shawn surprising Belle with a wedding do-over.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Ava (Tamara Braun) was still in a bind (literally). Charlie (Mike Manning) took off her gag for a second but Ava screamed so he put it back on. Thankfully, a call from Claire (Isabel Durant) had Charlie heading out and Ava got a few minutes alone. She diligently worked at untying herself.
A Wedding To Remember
Over at the party, Shawn (Brandon Beemer) brought tears to everyone’s eyes by proposing to Belle (Martha Madison). Let’s get married right here, right now. Yes! Yes! Belle was ready to say I do.
The short, simple, and intimate ceremony began with Marlena (Deidre Hall) officiating. A call from Sami brought everything to a temporary halt but Belle ordered her mom to put the phone away. She did and got things back on track.

Yours Forever
Belle and Shawn exchanged rings, promised their hearts to each other, and were pronounced husband and wife. It was a beautiful moment for the happy couple. They were now officially official.
Impatiently Waiting
Meanwhile, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) was on cloud nine. She told Allie (Lindsay Arnold) that Eric was on his way home to surprise the family. Nicole was so excited she nearly fell over herself getting to the door when there was a knock. Sadly, it was not Eric, it was Will (Chandler Massey).
Allie was happy to have her brother home. The siblings played catch up before getting out of Nicole’s hair and heading over to the Christmas party. Unfortunately, they did not make it in time for the wedding. No matter, everyone was happy to see them anyway. As for Nicole, she set up a romantic scene for Eric’s homecoming.
I Know That Guy
Claire was excited to introduce her boyfriend to her cousin and called Allie over. There was something familiar about Charlie but Allie could not remember where she met him. Charlie looked sick, feigned being ill, and basically ran off. It was good timing on his part. He made it home just in time to catch Ava trying to escape. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
