The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, January 6, 2020, features a jailhouse feud, a vicious ex, and an emergency that could change everything.
It was a fight to the finish between Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Victor (John Aniston) when they called out each other’s bad behavior. Victor took his granddaughter to task over her lies about leaving Ben and she let him have it (on a recording) about framing Ben.
Their confrontation ended in a terrifying twist when Victor struggled to speak and passed out. The powerhouse had a stroke and was rushed to the hospital. He was placed under Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) watchful care.
Speaking of Kayla, she had quite the day. “Steve” made it clear he moved on and didn’t love her anymore. He even threw her romance in her face. They have new people now and it’s time to move on.
Later, “Steve” admitted to John he lied. There was no one else but he wanted Kayla to be happy. She has Justin now and that’s all that matters.
Drama heated up at the prison when Xander (Paul Telfer) took on Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). Xander warned the jailbird to watch his back and get control of his girlfriend too. They almost fought but Will (Chandler Massey) showed up and broke up the scene.
It was just in time too because Xander got the call about Victor. He rushed to the hospital to be by his uncle’s side and throw a few snide remarks towards Ciara along the way.
Things heated up at the station when “Hope” (Kristian Alfonso) tried to fire Rafe (Galen Gering). Her plan to oust him didn’t work, though. Rafe pointed out he had a union that expects due process. He then dropped the bomb he was building a file on his boss.
Princess Gina was flabbergasted. She ran right to the apartment to warn SteVano the walls could soon close in.
Meanwhile, Sonny (Freddie Smith) cozied up to Evan (Brock Kelly). They talked, they flirted, and they even kissed. However, something seemed off. Evan didn’t seem exactly thrilled when Rafe come home to share the news he was one step away from formally adopting David. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
