The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, January 18, 2021, features unexpected twists as Tripp confronts his brother and Rafe took Xander to the station.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

It was a showdown like no other when Charlie (Mike Manning) found his brother in his apartment. How dare he break in! Charlie was not having it. He threatened to call the cops until Tripp stopped him in his tracks.

Childhood Trauma

Charlie blamed Tripp (Lucas Adams) for all his woes and moaned about living in his brother’s shadow. The sob story worked. Tripp took pity on his younger sibling and offered to help him come clean and get on the right track.

That plan was a no-go. Charlie was not about to let Ava and her precious son win. Charlie threw Tripp out of his apartment and had a fit. Then, Charlie called Claire (Isabel Durant) and left a message begging to speak with her.

Lock Him Up!

Tripp made a mad dash for the hospital. He found Ava (Tamara Braun) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) together. Tripp updated them about Charlie, Ava gave an update of her own, and Steve promised to bring the young man to justice.

Meanwhile, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) was hurt and angry her attacker was roaming free. Unfortunately, there was not much Rafe (Galen Gering) could do. They did not have enough proof to keep him.

Rafe and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) suggested Allie be hypnotized. Oh, and how convenient grandma Marlena (Deidre Hall) is the top hypnotist on the planet. Allie promised to give it some thought.

Mistakes And Shake-Ups

Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) feared for his life when Xander (Paul Telfer) shut down his shell company. It took less than an hour for Angelo to be on alert and start calling his laundryman. It was agreed he had to go into hiding. Brady (Eric Martsolf) was not happy Philip would be hiding in Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) room.

At the same time, Sarah (Lindsay Arnold) lost it when Xander told her about the takedown. She got right on the phone with the cops to try to protect Philip. The call sort of backfired, though. Xander was hauled to the station to be questioned about a kidnapping. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
