The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, June 2, 2021, features Melinda realizing her folly, Jan at her psychotic best, and a whole lot of recapitulation.
While Melinda (Tina Huang) got her gloat on at the SPD, Jan (Heather Lindell) busied herself with insisting that if Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) wished to remain a useful hostage, she’d have to kill Claire (Isabel Durant). What? You thought Janwould do her own dirty work?
Chloe hoped to twist the assignment in her favor, but Jan stubbornly refused to hand over the gun that she was brandishing. No, Chloe would have to make do with a knife. And since everyone knows that gun beats knife, Chloe refused to not only kill Claire but to even try to one-up Jan.
Back at the cop shop, Melinda’s delight in seeing Belle (Martha Madison) hauled off to Statesville was cut painfully short by Philip’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) venom-tinged reveal that his ex had only confessed to killing Charlie (Mike Manning) in a bid to see her kidnapped daughter free! Egg, meet face.
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) hasn’t exactly kept Clyde (James Read) apprised of the day-to-day goings-on in his life – which is why he took the first available opportunity to do so. Clyde surprisingly gave his son some solid advice, but Ben decided to spend just a little extra time wallowing in self-pity.
And the best place to wallow in self-pity? Why, the cabin where he and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) first fell in love of course…which just so happens to be the spot where Jan’s rigged up an “accident” that she’s sure will result in Claire being burnt to a crisp!
Alert the media, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) is back in town! The businesswoman ran into former acquaintance Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), and the two caught up with each other on their family-related travails.
Paulina then made a big show of discussing the plans she has for Horton Square, of which Marlena’s sure Tom and Alice would approve. However, Paulina later musses that she wasn’t entirely honest with her sister’s bestie. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
