Days of our Lives Recap: The Calm Before The Storm

The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, January 20, 2020, features a look back on last year’s Mother’s Day. (Or this year’s Mother’s Day, but last year in Salem.) It was the calm before several storms shook up Salem.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

The WilSon divorce was almost final and Sonny (Freddie Smith) was beside himself. He turned to his dad for support. As far as he’s concerned, Will (Chandler Massey) gave up the day Adrienne (Judi Evans) died. This conversation sparked a walk down memory lane for Sonny and Justin (Wally Kurth) as they took a look back at Adrienne’s last day on earth.

A Mother’s Day to Remember

Justin, Sonny, and Will planned a day of rest and relaxation for Adrienne. Will took over her duties at the Spectator and Justin scheduled her a spa day. They even hired a masseuse to come to the house. They wanted her to put all her stress away and take some time for herself. Let’s Have A Baby

Sonny pulled Will aside and presented a bright future. Being with Ari is fabulous and Sonny wanted ore of that joy. He proposed they have another baby. It was everything Will ever wanted to hear.

Big Changes

Speaking of babies, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) were looking forward to the birth of their child that day. The pregnancy changed Kristen for the better. So much so, Brady even invited her to join his family for Mother’s Day. Marlena (Deidre Hall) flew home from her new job for the occasion and made the most of being back. The women even managed to make peace.

However, Eric (Greg Vaughan) wasn’t as willing as Marlena. He and Nicole (Adrianne Zucker) spent their morning with Holly as a little family before Eric took the little girl to Jarlena’s townhouse. He was not happy to see Kristen and pulled Brady into the hallway for a tense faceoff.

Sarah: Pregnant and Annoyed

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) was heavily pregnant as well but she was far from as joyful as Kristen. In fact, it was quite the opposite. She was snippy and snappy and could barely make it through brunch with Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) without having a meltdown. She was especially short with Xander (Paul Telfer).

It’s Go Time!

Almost at the same time, both Kristen and Sarah went into labor. It was the final calm moments before what is rumored to be a wild ride. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
