The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, September 10, 2020 features a heart-wrenching day in Salem. Ciara was presumed dead, Gwen plotted against Abby, and Belle made peace with a part of her past.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Vincent’s (Michael Teh) car burned, apparently along with Ciara (Victoria Konefal). Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) tried to play hero but his efforts landed him in the hospital. The flames were too big, too hot, and he suffered from burns and smoke inhalation. While in the hospital, he dreamed of Ciara.
Is Ciara Really Gone?
Back at the airstrip, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) watched in horror as the flames destroyed the car. Shawn tried to extinguish the fire but it did no good. By the time the fire department got there, all hope was lost. All that was left of Ciara were her rings.
Hope was a mess when she got to the hospital to tell Ben the terrible news. Ciara was gone. She handed him the rings and the two sat and cried.
Is Gwen The New Gabi?
The drama also unfolded at the DiMera mansion. Gwen (Emily O’Brien) managed to hide the drugs from Jake (Brandon Barash) but caused a whole other raucous. Not only was she staying around, but she also took over Gabi’s (Camila Banus) suite. Jake warned her to not get too comfortable.
Downstairs, Abigail (Marci Miller) lost it when she found out Chad (Billy Flynn) kissed the newcomer. Chad tried to explain it was not his fault but Abby was on high alert.
Gwen Tried And Failed
Things took a turn when Gwen apologized to Abigail. She swore it was all a play to get back at Gabi. The women bonded over the mutual hatred and called a truce, for now.
Little did Abby know, her new friend was the real danger. Gwen drugged Abigail’s drink and handed it to her. Fortunately, Chad came and invited Abby to bed before her lips touched the glass.
Friends and Foes
Over in the square, Belle (Martha Madison) and Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) came face to face. In a bit of a twist, Belle was so glad he wasn’t Jan, she was relieved to see him. They sat, had a coffee, and decided to get on friendly terms since they were both back for a while.
Xander (Paul Telfer) was not pleased at all about Philip sticking around. He was so bitter he considered quitting his job. Sarah talked him out of it, though. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
