The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, January 3, 2020, features worried love birds, a shady situation, and a jaw-dropping confession.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
It was back to the better days for Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) when she woke up next to Steve (Stephen Nichols). Sadly, it was all a dream and she really opened her eyes to a close second best. She and Justin (Wally Kurth) went about their morning and Kayla decided to confront her past once and for all.
Kayla got to the townhouse just in time to catch “Steve” alone. He’s already had quite the morning himself, having slept on the couch, had it out with Hattie, and tried to come to terms with wearing the patch.
Kayla: I Don’t Love You Anymore
In mere minutes, Kayla and SteVano were at each other’s throats. She demanded answers about leaving her for so long and the shocking divorce. He only offered up one excuse and it cut Kayla like a knife. “Steve” dropped the bomb he was in love with another woman. Little does she know it’s his Queen of the Night.
A Deadly Situation
Over at Statesville, it was a big day for Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). He was gearing up to face his final appeal. He may lack evidence to clear his name but Ciara had a new plan. She convinced Justin to slap a wire on her so she could record a confession.
Of course, that would be easier said than done. Xander (Paul Telfer) was onto her and tried to convince Victor (John Aniston) of her guilt. Grandpa made the mistake of standing by his granddaughter. Xander decided to take matters into his own hands, head to the prison, and put Ben in his place.
The Trouble with Hope
Back at the police station, Rafe (Galen Gering) worried about his ex-wife. Something was up with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) but he wasn’t sure what. All he knew was she was making rookie mistakes and messing up important cases. He turned to Roman for help and they agreed Hope’s slip-ups were because she was worried the Phoenix was rising.
As for “Hope,” she hit up the pub and had it out with Kate and Hattie. The encounter left Hattie wondering what was up with her old friend. It was then Roman really saw what Rafe was saying. Yes, Hope was off. Very off. FOR A YEAR. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
