The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, October 14, 2019, features a day of doubt, promises, and drama in Salem. Just another soap opera day, right?
It was Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) birthday and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) was ready to celebrate. Unfortunately, her hot and heavy afternoon plans were interrupted by Marlena (Deidre Hall) and things went downhill from there. She overheard Eric and his mom chatting about Sarah and demanded answers.
Would he still be with her if Sarah actually was pregnant? Eric said no but Nicole wasn’t so sure. He says he is a one-woman man but jumping from building a life with Sarah one minute and opting for a life with her had Nicole doubting his dedication.
Speaking of commitment, Anna (Leann Hunley) decided she was ready for one of her own. She gave Tony (Thaao Penghlis) a ring and asked him to propose. Let’s get married, she said. He would love to, he said, but not until he gets himself a job and buys his own ring for her.
Luckily, Shin called and offered up the CEO spot. Talk about good timing! He headed straight to the hospital to inform Kate (Lauren Koslow) of the corporate shakeup. Of course, Kate got right on the phone to make things right.
Xander (Paul Telfer) also worked on getting the one he loves to be with him. He called upon Rolf (William Utay) to help do his bidding and tell Eric about the baby. Xander gave Rolf an envelope and told him to deliver the results under the guise of trying to do the right thing.

However, Xander got a dose of reality when it hit him this plan would backfire big time. Sarah would be furious, especially if she found out he was the one who orchestrated the reveal.
Meanwhile, it was clear something was wrong with Hope (Kristian Alfonso). John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena tried to help and even invited her to lunch but it did no good. She had blanks in her memory and felt off but chalked it up to exhaustion.
However, seeing Rolf in the square had alarm bells ringing in Hope’s head. She decided to head home to rest and try to sort out her thoughts. Will she remember what Rolf did? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
