Days of our Lives Recap: Someone Planted Quite The Bomb

The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, July 21, 2020 features a rather calm day for a wedding morning. Sure, the bride is in the hospital, the former maid of honor is going off the rails, and Julie’s a bit of a mess, but it could be worse (and pretty soon it will be).

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was first to the church, on purpose. She practiced the ceremony over and over hoping to make it all perfect. The last thing she wanted was to officiate another disaster.

A Heartfelt Gift

Ciara (Victoria Konefal) was in the hospital but she was doing well. The good news was, she wasn’t pregnant. The bad news was if she was drugged they will never know, it would already be out of her system. After some IV fluids, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) cleared her to go get married.

Victor (John Aniston) visited his granddaughter. He was not going to make it to the wedding. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) was sick and he had to stay home. He wished her well. Afterward, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Hope (Kristen Alfonso) showed up. Allie was deemed the new Maid of Honor. They showered Ciara with gifts, including earrings from Bo for her something old.

A Fresh-ish Start

Speaking of Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), she and Xander (Paul Telfer) cleared the air about his massage therapist (so, not a hooker), and decided to try again. She agreed to be his date for the wedding.

Things Were Looking Up

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was frantic until he spoke to Ciara and found out she was okay. Will (Chandler Massey) helped him keep his cool, and stay away from Ciara (like they need more bad luck like the man seeing the bride). Ben even managed to get through a call with Clyde. His dad wished him well and promised to send a wedding gift, yes, even from jail.

Claire Went Ballistic

Meanwhile, things fell apart for Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan). Hope told Shawn (Brandon Beemer) her suspicions while the baddie defended herself to Belle (Martha Madison). By the time Belle and Shawn caught up, it was agreed Claire came home way too soon. Belle was especially alarmed when she caught Claire sneaking into the apartment. Where had she been?

A Deadly Plan

The guests rolled into the church and the bride was ready to take Rafe’s arm. All was well, everything was beautiful, and there were smiles all around. Little did anyone know, there was a bomb in the church. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
