The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, May 21, 2021, features Gwen getting a taste of her own bad medicine, and Jan taking her anger out on the wrong person.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlight
It was supposed to be a simple follow-up appointment with her primary care physician. Instead, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) was subjected to a stern lecture from Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry) about her terror campaign against Abby (Marci Miller), and then she was blackmailed into delivering a not at all suspicious package. And since Dr. Snyder had Gwen well under his thumb, he informed her that this wouldn’t be her last drop-off.
Abby took her leave, and Chad (Billy Flynn) stood around and cried about it. However, if the truth were to be told, and he did later tell it to Jack (Matthew Ashford), Chad’s not all that upset to see the back of his wife. Try as he might, he just can’t stop blaming her for the accident that led to his daughter’s death.
Sure, sure. He knows deep down that Abby didn’t push Gwen – a fact that Jack can attest to. But he does know that Abby instigated a fight with a pregnant woman…or at least a woman they all thought to be pregnant. Why did she have to go and do that?
Claire (Isabel Durant) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) kissed, and stripped, and then he decided that sleeping together might not be the best of ideas. Claire was a bit put-out, but she eventually came around to Ben’s way of thinking.
Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn’s (Brandon Beemer) staged dustup worked like a charm. Jan (Heather Lindell) had fallen for it hook, line, and sinker, and then Shawn was able to convince her that he was booking them a romantic evening at the Salem Inn.
And it would have probably all gone according to plan had it not been for Dr. Snyder’s interference. He was so peeved about Jan making him look like a fool, that he blindly ratted out Belle and Shawn’s snooping, leaving little doubt in the crazy lady’s mind that she was being played.
And now it’s left to poor pitiful Claire to pay for her parents’ mistake! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
