The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, March 19, 2021, features Sarah playing dirty, Xander, Kate, and Jake copping respective eyefuls, and Gwen putting Jack in an untenable situation.
Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) put in her best effort to escape her makeshift prison cell – she even screamed for a DiMera family member, ANY DiMera family member to come down and at least open the door on their way to get some wine. Where the heck was Anna (Leann Hunley) when you needed her?
Sarah briefly gave up hope, and chose to indulge in some fantasies of a rescue and a destination wedding with Xander (Paul Telfer)…but then her fortunes took a turn. Lying within Sarah’s grasp was Chekhov’s gun… *ahem* we mean, that discarded syringe full of Dr. Rolf’s memory melting concoction. Perhaps this newly acquired weapon could be her ticket to freedom?
Meanwhile, Xander stumbled upon “Sarah” and Rex (Kyle Lowder) in flagrante delicto and demanded an explanation. Did it slip his fiancée’s mind that they’re only a few hours away from getting hitched? Has she suddenly forgotten all the rotten, adulterous things that Rex did when they were together?
Not at all, replied “Sarah.” And she also has forgotten or forgiven Xander for letting her fall in love with a baby that wasn’t hers. Oh, and he also hurt Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). That was equally shameful! Bad, bad Xander.
By the bye, Xander, you’re dumped! The wedding is off, Sarah’s heading out of town with Rex, and here’s your mother’s engagement ring back.
Gabi (Camila Banus) reestablished herself as lady of the DiMera manor, and, as is her prerogative, she planned to submerge herself into her deep soaker tub and enjoy a hot bath. If only Jake (Brandon Barash) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) would get the hell out of her room and stop accusing her of moving back in just to torment them. Not everything is about Jake and Kate!
While Abby (Marci Miller) and Chad (Billy Flynn) busied themselves with a tear-filled reconciliation, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) tracked Jack (Matthew Ashford) down and filled him on her near-murder.
Papa Deveraux found it hard to believe that Abby tried to kill her sister…and really didn’t believe that Abby and Gabi actually worked together to pull the scheme off. But he promised to scold his eldest and make her promise not to do it again – or else! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
