Days of our Lives Recap: Sami Stormed The Town And Tragedy Struck The DiMeras

The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, July 17, 2020, features Sami sticking her nose where it didn’t belong, Ciara and Ben celebrating their upcoming nuptials, and Jake’s world spinning when his new mother was pronounced dead.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Sami (Alison Sweeney) was on a warpath over her grandbaby and laid into Rafe (Galen Gering). She demanded he turn down Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) offer. She wanted Allie to raise the baby herself. Rafe laughed her off and turned her away.

Meanwhile, Allie and Will (Chandler Massey) caught up with each other. They agreed Sami was a mess and Will asked about her baby plans. She admitted it would be too weird to have her brother raise her child. Let’s wait to see what Rafe says, Allie suggested.

Party Time!

Meanwhile, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) put her faith in Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) after a pinky swear and kept her as a maid of honor. Claire was thrilled and planned her bachelorette party. It wasn’t hard, Ciara didn’t have friends so she, Claire, and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) met up at Belle’s club.

Sami Ruined Another Wedding Moment

As for Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), he called around about the ring to no avail. He was interrupted by Jake who was reeling about being Stefan’s twin. At least he wouldn’t have Gabi (Camila Banus) all over him now, right?

Ben then went off with Will for his bachelor party with Will. It didn’t last long though. Before they knew it, Sami was there and destroyed their good time. Ben left and Sami laid into Will about his sister. If Allie doesn’t want the baby they have to make her give it to him. Will did not agree. This was Allie’s decision.

Vivian Is Gone!

Back home, Gabi was also mourning her loss, which was made worse by Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and Chad (Billy Flynn). Gwen didn’t have competition for her man and Chad was glad his rival was dead. Not so fast, Chad. Jake was the new competition now. He was also a DiMera and about to be a very rich and powerful man.

Little did any of them know things would take another shocking turn. Rafe called Gabi in search of Jake. He was tasked with breaking the news that Vivian (Louise Sorel) was dead. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
