The Days of Our Lives recap for November 30-December 4, 2020, features a botched standoff, yet another person learning of Ava’s existence, trouble for the Johnson marriage, and so much more!

Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights

There’s an old song featured in beloved Broadway hit, Into The Woods, that warns us to be “careful the stories we tell” because “children will listen.” Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) should have heeded that warning, rather than tell Allie (Lindsay Arnold) the tale of Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) bloody revenge against her own rapist.

And he should have done so because Allie took the story to heart – along with grandma Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) gun – and set off to confront Tripp (Lucas Adams) once she learned that he wouldn’t be prosecuted for her rape.

Once she had the young man in her sights, Allie explained that they could either hash out their difference of opinion, or she could shoot him on the spot. Tripp chose the former option…but he still held fast to his truth. He did not rape her.

Allie disagreed, and readied herself to fire a bullet into Tripp’s groin. Enter, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). A very alive, Ava Vitali. She rescued her son, saw Allie off, and added a new gun to her (probably) extensive collection.

Though heartened to see his mother in the flesh, Tripp refused to keep her resurrection to himself. He had to tell Steve (Stephen Nichols). If for no other reason than because Steve had always stood beside him. Ava begged and pleaded for time, but Steve saved Tripp the bother by returning home and learning of Ava’s survival for himself!

DAYS Musings

Where do you stand on the Steve vs. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) debate? Do you see anything wrong with Kayla’s demand that Steve request Tripp’s exit from their apartment?

So, Gabi (Camila Banus) came home for exactly one night, immediately caught Jake (Brandon Barash) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) in the sac, and now she’s planning on bidding Salem adieu again in order to relocate to Arizona? She’ll be back soon, though.

And speaking of Jake and Kate, do you think that this is a relationship that could and should continue for the long haul? Or would you rather see Jake back with Gabi…or even confirm Chad’s (Billy Flynn) worst fear and pursue Abigail (Marci Miller)?

Are you tickled or ticked off by Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Bonnie’s (Judi Evans) bourgeoning friendship? And are you rooting for a Bonnie/Justin (Wally Kurth) coupling or is that prospect just too ridiculous to work?

How out of line was Charlie’s (Mike Manning) crack about how every time he turned around he ran into one of Claire’s (Isabel Durant) exes? Not that it isn’t a fact.

Philip: “I think Titan should throw a holiday event, a concert for charity.” Do you really Philip? Titan doesn’t exactly have the best track record of successful parties.

In fact, during the celebration of the company’s relocation to Salem (back in 1993), John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) were caught committing adultery by Sami and Carrie (Christie Clarke) received a face full of acid which had been intended for Austin (Patrick Muldoon).

Eli: “Oh, my God! I’m sick and tired of you throwing [Kristen’s imprisonment] in my face!!” Well, Eli (Lamon Archey), if you’re so tired of Lani’s (Sal Stowers) argument, maybe YOU shouldn’t have arrested Kristen after swearing to your wife that you wouldn’t do so.

Though it’s commendable that DAYS referenced Sami’s long-ago rape at the hands of the disgusting Alan Harris, they didn’t get the facts exactly right. Sami did not invite Alan over to her abode with the express purpose of cooking him dinner.

In point of fact, she went over to his apartment to get help with her homework, and the dinner had been a thank you for his trouble. Sami’s journey to his place was one of the excuses Alan would later give to justify his heinous assault. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
