The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, March 24, 2021, features Paulina being set straight, and Ciara is thrilled and chilled by respective visitors.
While Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) spent the morning of the twins christening visiting Ciara (Victoria Konefal), Valerie (Vanessa A. Williams) took it upon herself to divest Paulina (Jackée Harry) of a particular notion. Sis, you aren’t Jules’s godmother. That old white lady is!
Embarrassment got the better of Paulina, and she initially refused to attend the ceremony. However, at the last minute, she made her appearance – and issued Julie, Lani, and Eli all heartfelt apologies.
Everybody decided to forgive and forget, there were hugs aplenty, and the priest arrived to begin the service.
Theo (Cameron Johnson) found a maudlin Claire (Isabel Durant) reflecting on Ciara’s dismissal of her, and the two talked about their friends’ predicament. Afterward, Theo headed to the hospital where he presented his ex with her favorite flowers and the news about the twins christening.
Ciara was thrilled to hear of Lani and Eli’s good fortune – now, if only those two wild and crazy kids would settle down and get married. Wouldn’t they just make the perfect couple?
Jake (Brandon Barash) swung by Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment for a catch-up, having apparently remembered that they’re good friends. Ben told him all about Ciara’s selective amnesia, then he poo-pooed Jake’s suggestion that Ciara should be injected with Dr. Rolf’s (William Utay) memory serum. The 2.0 version, mind you, and not the one with those nasty brain fry side effects.
But Jake’s second suggestion – go and fight for the lady that you love – appealed to Ben. So, he headed for Ciara’s hospital room, where he informed his still frightened love that he wasn’t leaving until she heard what he had to say…which by the by is exactly how a mentally ill serial killer would act. Ben, tread very, very carefully! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
