Days of our Lives Recap: More Bombshells Dropped In Salem

The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, July 16, 2020, features Jake’s DNA news shaking up Gabi, Sami reeling from another bombshell, and Will worrying about his mother’s controlling ways.

Lives change forever when Jake (Brandon Barash) makes calls to confirm Ivan’s story. The good news is, Vivian (Louise Sorel) has a new son — the bad news is, Gabi (Camila Banus) does not have a husband. Gabi sinks into a pit of despair so bad even Jake can’t help but feel for her.

In fact, when Gabi took off Jake chased after her. He made his way to the DiMera mansion and found Gabi mourning Stefan’s loss all over again. This time, it was Gabi who tried to cut ties.

Back at the station, Vivian turned to Ivan to figure out how to move forward. She forgave her manservant and plotted how to get closer to her son — and groom him into the man she wants him to be.

Eric Stepped Up

Eric (Greg Vaughan) takes control of Sami (Alison Sweeney) and reels her in. Allie’s pregnancy and the choices she makes are up to the mama-to-be, not Sami. He tells his sis to keep her cool and let Allie do what Allie needs and wants to do.

Eric then went home with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and they got back to wedding romance. It was their first night as man and wife and they made the most of it.

Sami Got Another Shock

Sami was singing a whole different tune when Allie and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) came back. She promised to listen and even offered support. Well, until she found out the actual adoption plans.

Allie told Sami about Will and Sonny putting their hat in the ring. Sami was over the moon. It didn’t last long though. Allie burst that bubble when she dropped Rafe’s name. She already offered her ex-stepdad the baby and that’s who Allie really wants to raise the child. Sami was stunned.

Will and Sonny Had Second Thoughts

Meanwhile, Marlena (Deidre Hall) warned Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) his mom was in town and on a rampage. They talked about their desire to adopt and what that would mean.
