The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, May 17, 2021, features Kristen tempting Xander to sin, quite a few people discussing Allie and Chanel’s lip-lock, and Jake seeming to doubt his commitment to Gabi.
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is the kind of villain who doesn’t like to get her hands too dirty – or blood-stained – on a good day. And now that she has a Brady, a Horton, and a slut that needs tending to, she’s decided to outsource the killings.
And who better to do the job than dirt poor Xander (Paul Telfer) – Kristen’s one-time partner-in-crime turned victimizer. She promised that if he helped her dispose of her collection, she’d make it SO worth his while.
In Salem, appearances really can be deceiving. Just when it seemed that Chanel (Precious Way) was a vapid, good for nothing waste of space, she revealed her pension for baking ooey-gooey, yummy in your tummy chocolate cupcakes.
Lani (Sal Stowers) was suitably impressed by her cousin’s skill in the kitchen, and she was furthered shocked by Chanel’s admission to liking boys AND girls. But lest anyone accuse Lani of being an old fuddy-duddy, she quickly tells Chanel that she’s totally cool with her “no labels” policy.
Ditto Nicole (Arianne Zucker), who gets filled in by Allie (Lindsay Arnold) about the kiss she and Chanel shared. Both young women decide that they don’t want the smooch to come between their friendship, and they separately endeavor to tell the other. Lani and Nicole support their charge’s surprisingly mature decision.
Jake (Brandon Barash) successfully resuscitated a severely injured Kate (Lauren Koslow), whom he and Gabi (Camila Banus) rushed to University Hospital. Rafe (Galen Gering) and Eli (Lamon Archey) met the frazzled pair there and listened as they recounted Kate’s story of being held hostage, and impersonated, by Kristen.
And while the cops issued an APB for Kristen, and Nicole, and Kate, and Susan Banks – because Lord knows Kristen can slap on any face mask at any time – Gabi grew increasingly concerned that Jake may abandon her in favor of reuniting with Kate. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
