Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, June 1, 2020, saw another couple engaged, two couples looking forward to parenthood, and Rafe running into an adoption roadblock.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Justin (Wally Kurth) was down on one knee with a gorgeous ring but Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) wasn’t buying what he was selling. At least not at first.

Steve saw Justin proposing and stole away to Kayla’s office to write her saying he was happy for her. By the time Kayla and Justin got there, he was gone but she saw the letter and it hit her hard. Perhaps it was the reason she said yes.

Get Ya Girl!

Steve then ran off to the pub where he gave Hope (Kristian Alfonso) the rundown. He was heartbroken but he realized he was too late. Hope gave him another pep talk about winning back his woman. That came to an end when Kayla arrived with the rock on her end.

Lani Second Guessed Herself

Eli (Lamon Archey) was on cloud nine about the pregnancy but Lani (Sal Stowers) was not. Eli promised to stand by her side no matter what she decided. Being with her was more important than anything. It was his love and support that had her turning over a new leaf, putting on a brave face, and saying yes to keeping the baby.

Let’s Have A Baby

Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) were also ready to expand their family. Life is too short to wait and they decided to open themselves up to adoption.

Adoption Drama

Hope stopped by to check on the Rafe (Galen Gering) and his almost-son. Mostly him, though. Rafe and Hope lightly flirted as they relived the last few months. Their good time was interrupted when Zoey (Alyshia Ochse) showed up. Once alone, Zoey apologized to Rafe and said she was devastated about how things turned out. However, she was still going after custody and she intended to win.

You Don’t Speak For Me

Speaking of heroics, Kate (Lauren Koslow) thought it was time to honor the best of the best in the city. She even set up a Key to the City ceremony so Abe (James Reynolds) could do just that. It was a good thing, right? Well, maybe not. He was not pleased with her big plans.
