The Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, April 21, 2020, features Kayla pledging her love, Steve voicing his regrets, and Gabi getting a shock.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) was upset over her face-off with Steve (Stephen Nichols) but it made her decision clear – she wanted a life with Justin (Wally Kurth). Unfortunately, she almost ruined that love affair. Justin came across her while she was crying and she told him Steve turned her away.
I Love You
While Justin understood why she was upset, he did not like feeling second best. He wanted her whole heart for all the right reasons, not because Steve turned her away. Kayla apologized for bring so upset and assured him he was the only man for her.
Actions and Consequences
As for Steve, he spent some time with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) talking about their shady recent past as partners in crime. Steve opened up about letting Kayla go and his guilt over all the things he did as SteVano to hurt her. Hope completely understood. She had a lot of guilt too.

They shared a good laugh over flowers from Anna. The card apologized for plucking his eye out with her shoe and how she would have aimed for a different body part could she do it again. Steve may be down an eye again, but at least he has his life back.

Meanwhile, at The Pub, Kate (Lauren Koslow) snuck her way into an interview with Abe (James Reynolds). Abe was put off but Kate made sure to have her say. Sure, she has a shady past, but who doesn’t? And, since she’s dealt with so many scandals she would the perfect spokesperson for City Hall. In fact, she offered to spin things to get the voters back on his side too.
Gabi Fought Back
Tensions rose at the DiMera mansion when Gabi (Camila Banus) interrupted Tony (Thaoo Penghlis) and Anna (Leann Hunley) saying goodbye to Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Kate Mansi). Who cares that they are leaving? She wants her job back. She even tried to lobby Tony right in front of his family. It didn’t work. Tony stood by his brother.
Gabi sulked off to the office where she found someone sitting in her chair. The back of his head looked an awful lot like Stefan. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
