Days of our Lives Recap: Justin Overheard The Heartbreaking Truth

The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, July 6, 2020, features the start of another wedding week. Justin and Kayla prepared for their big day and found themselves hitting roadblock after roadblock along the way.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Justin (Wally Kurth) were sort of ready to wed. They each had cold feet and second thoughts and struggled to push them down. Justin’s issue was Steve being back and how that would impact his marriage. Of course, Steve was a factor for Kayla too but so was a near-emergency that almost halted everything.

Will To The Rescue

As it turns out, the officiant was not able to make it. Will (Chandler Massey) broke the news and they began hunting for a new one. Abe (James Reynolds) was too busy, Marlena (Deidre Hall) was out too, and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was sick. Thankfully, Will was able to be ordained online in a matter of minutes and save the day.

The Truth Came Out

Adding to the drama were Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso). They felt guilty helping Kayla knowing Steve (Stephen Nichols) still loved her. While they each agreed to act like grownups and stay out if it but agreed it didn’t feel right.

As if that wasn’t enough, Justin and Steve ran into each other. Steve wished him the best and was full of pleasantries. It was almost enough to make Justin feel better. That feeling did not last long, though. While passing through the park he overheard Hope and Jennifer talking. The truth hit him hard.

Xander Screwed Up Again

Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) packed his bags and moved to the Salem Inn, much to Victor’s (John Aniston) dismay. He even sat Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) down to make an impassioned plea for her to give Xander a second chance.

Xander moped all the way to the inn and even pouted to Jack. All the pep talks in the world weren’t picking him back up. Maybe a new woman would. He called up a shady service and the woman showed up right when Sarah came around. Her heart broke. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
