If there’s one thing that the Devil will not abide, it’s having its authority questioned. So, when Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) attempts to circumvent “Marlena’s” no visitors order at Bayview, MarDevil (Deidre Hall) races down there, intent on stopping him, and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) – come Hell or high water.
In the meantime, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) busied himself with breaking a half dozen laws, by – amongst other things – picking the lock on Marlena’s desk drawer, and listening to a session she recorded.

All Abe (James Reynolds) wanted to know, was what was going on between Jake (Brandon Barash) and Carmine (Richard Stevens) – and his curiosity earned him a bullet to the chest.

Jake summoned an ambulance, and did his best to stop the bleeding – and his efforts earned him a pair of silver bracelets courtesy of Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Then, just to prove how dim he truly is, Jake clammed up, refusing to answer a single inquiry as to what exactly took place between him and Abe. Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) assured her lover that he wasn’t in the least bit to blame, and, if anything, Rafe should have been kinder to him.

How to solve a problem like Julie? Well, if you’re the Devil, you’d lure her to a church – the last place anybody would think to look for the Prince of Darkness and his victim – and drown her in the baptismal font.
But what to do if you’re stymied by your host’s husband – who, coincidentally, is the wanna-be priest who forced you back to the abyss some two decades ago? Why, if you’re the Devil, you just confess the truth and warn that you won’t be so easily defeated this go around!
