Days of our Lives Recap: John and Marlena Mourned Each Other

The Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, January 31, 2020, features several twisted storyline exploding. SteVano and Princess Gina pulled off their sinister plans, Nicole regretted her trickery, and Xander worried about Mickey’s entire future.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

SteVano (Stephen Nichols) returned to Salem and Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) went to Prague. They each acted like heroes saving their victims and told tales of how Stefano orchestrated ambushes and committed murder.

Deadly Lies

John was told a tale of woe about how Stefano had Rolf (William Utay) kill Steve and at the same time sent goons to go after Marlena (Deidre Hall).

“Hope” claimed to have fought the good fight but she lost and it ended with Stefano shooting Marlena dead and kidnapping her and dumping her here to keep the whole thing quiet. Poor John was devastated.

“Steve” pretended to rescue Marlena all while spinning his own web of lies. He claimed they were tricked by the Phoenix only to walk into a trap. Marlena was shocked and bewildered to hear her husband was dead.

A Heartbreaking Dilemma

Over at the hospital, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) felt their worlds collapse when they were not bone marrow matches for Mickey. The search began for a match and decided to turn to their friends and family for help.

Xander (Paul Telfer) was beside himself over the whole thing. He switched the babies to save Sarah not to cause her more pain. Now, it could all fall apart. He and Victor decided the only course of action would be to ask Brady to get Tate tested under the guise of being Mickey’s cousin.

Brady and Nicole: A New Understanding

Xander tracked Brady down at Eric’s place. Nicole had him over to explain their lies had to come to an end. The truth had to come out about their fake relationship so she could save her life with Eric. Brady agreed to that, just as he told Xander he would take the testing into consideration.

As for Eric and Sarah, they took Mickey home and worried about what was to come. They opened up about their fears, their struggles, and even Eric’s love life. They ended up sharing a passionate kiss.

A Strange Find

Meanwhile, Abby (Kate Mansi) and Chad (Billy Flynn) got ready for their big move to the gatehouse. It would keep them close but not under the same roof as Gabi. They began to rifle through the belongings and found SteVano’s portrait. They stared at each other in disbelief.
