Days of our Lives Recap: Jake Reached His Breaking Point

The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, August 11, 2020 feature Gabi and Jake having it out, Gwen hitting the bottle, Justin extending an olive branch, and Ben keeping his hands off Ciara.

Gabi (Camila Banus) got a startling reminder that Jake was Jake and not Stefan after the client meeting. He did everything wrong, ate with his fingers, and made a fool of both of them. She was appalled.

She and Jake had it out where he stood his ground. He was made for a life in a garage, not a suit. She knew that before he stepped up. They each said things they later regretted and apologies were in order.

Gwen Got Drunk (Again)

Meanwhile, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) grabbed the wine and whined and cried to Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Jack (Matthew Ashford). Her man’s dedication was wavering and all because of Gabi. The couple admitted they had issues of her own with the baddie.

Revenge came when Gwen got just enough details on the meeting to call Chad (Billy Flynn). Get back fast, she said. Gabi was out there making herself look good.

Justin To The Rescue

Speaking of baddies, Bonnie (Judi Evans) tried to sneak out of town. She did not make it far, though. Justin (Wally Kurth) caught up with her and gave her a surprise. He took control of her legal woes and gave her publisher a stern phone call.

Bonnie was shocked. Why would he help? Quite simply, Justin is a lawyer and wanted to do the right thing, even if he despises Bonnie. Little did Justin realize sticking up for Bonnie also meant accidentally bonding with her.

Kate Got A Raise

Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Abe (James Reynolds) also bonded. They met up at the pub to talk shop, Vivian, and about a raise. Kate’s proven her worth around the office and it was time to top up her income. Abe agreed.

Ben Continued To Struggle

Meanwhile, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was still shaken but did not want to let on to Ciara (Victoria Konefal). However, when they discovered her wedding dress was missing, memories of his torture came flooding back. Ciara suggested he make an appointment with Marlena.
