Days of our Lives Recap: Jake Finally Realizes Which Woman He Loves

The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, May 14, 2021, features Jake and Gabi stunned by Kate’s revelation, and Jake has one of his own for Gabi.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlight

Color Jake (Brandon Barash) and Gabi (Camila Banus) slightly embarrassed at being caught in flagrante delicto by Kate (Lauren Koslow). But, truth be told, the lady really should have knocked!

Explanations were demanded, and boy did Kate explain. She started off by telling them that it was a disguised Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), and not she, who broke up with Jake. Then, she recounted how she managed to escape her captor’s reach despite multiple druggings. To paraphrase an impressed-despite-herself Gabi, only Kate could survive such an ordeal.

After Miss Roberts took her leave, Gabi was sure that Jake would run after her, tail between his legs – but he told her there was no way. Sure, he felt a little guilty. But he’s also beyond certain that Gabi is the lady for him!

Friendship Goals

Rafe (Galen Gering) caught Nicole (Arianne Zucker) doing the walk of shame in Horton Square, but she managed to somewhat cover. Rafe immediately took Nicole’s side when she explained what do-gooder Eric (Greg Vaughan) did, and Nicole got an extra-long hug from the object of her affection. She could chalk up a win…if only she hadn’t told a lie of omission.

Escalation

Kate caught “Susan” (Stacy Haiduk) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) arguing, and, in the interest of fairness, she outed Kristen’s masquerade. For her trouble, Kate received yet another blow to the head, while Kristen made off with Chloe whom she’d tied, gagged, and stuffed into the trunk of a car.

Passing The Time

With nothing more than time on their hands, Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) sat around debating Nicole’s fidelity to Eric, and their own nasty habit of reaching out to one another in times of crisis and getting so swept up in the moment that they sleep together.

Sami swears she’s past that. That is so Sami three weeks ago! But Lucas argues the contrary. Sami attempted to get her point across with violence, but Lucas decided that they should just kiss and make up! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
