The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, March 23, 2020, marked a bombshell day in Salem. David came home, Chad did his father’s bidding, and Marlena saved Kate.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
It was a day of cover-ups and damage control for Chad (Billy Flynn). His wife came home at exactly the wrong time and he had to do some fancy maneuvering to keep her from seeing the bodies on the floor.
Luckily, he was able to get the ladies down in the tunnel and locked away but it came with a cost. He had to lie to Abigail (Kate Mansi) about having an infestation of rats when she caught him coming up from the dungeons, which sent her into a panicked tailspin.
As for the ladies, they woke up and pieced the whole attack together after reading the stolen letter. Chad is under SteVano’s control. They were in serious danger.
Marlena Saved Kate
Thankfully, Marlena (Deidre Hall) was working on saving one of them. SteVano (Stephen Nichols) was thrilled she woke up calling him her King (did she mean it?) and thought it was safe to share all his plan. They would wed, people would die, and all would be well.
Marlena balked at the thought of SteVano killing Kate and forbade him from laying a hand on her. Kate was her friend and that mattered more than the schemer betraying The Phoenix. Stevano did not like that order one little bit.
Hide and Seek
Meanwhile, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) tried and failed to spy on Evan (Brock Kelly). Their plot of sharing a spot behind a shrub does not work (duh) and now Evan is in the know. Perhaps it’s best they are no longer on the force after this fiasco.
Rafe (Galen Gering) had to call in Sonny (Freddie Smith) to try to get through to David’s daddy. Sonny was shocked to hear the whole sordid tale of Evan, Orpheus, and Jordan. Now, with the volatile villain alive and well they had to work harder than ever to bring David home.
Give Me The Boy
Sonny appealed to Evan’s good side and begged for his son’s location a secret. David could be sick and there is no way Orpheus will risk taking him in for help. Sure, okay, he got him meds but what’s next? The idea of David getting worse forced Evan to do the right thing and hand over the baby. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
