Days of Our Lives Recap: Horton Memories On A Momentous Day

The Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, December 11 features Julie sharing the story of her return to Salem as Lucas set to leave.

Salem Is Home
Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) remembered her grandparents, Tom and Alice and her return to Salem. She then called Abby to scheme, which Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) overheard. She demanded to know her secret. When Chloe cried, she admitted she and Lucas broke up. Julie comforted her.

JJ (Casey Moss) helped Doug (Bill Hayes) prepare for Christmas. Doug asked how he was doing and JJ and wondered if he’s still hung up on Lani. JJ admitted he is, but feels there is no hope. Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) arrived and were caught kissing by JJ and Doug. JJ then wished her well.

Julie arrived and was thrilled for the new couple. She then told everyone about her return to Salem years ago. Lucas arrived looking for Jennifer and announced he’s leaving.

JJ gave Lucas his ornament to add to the tree early. Doug later gave Julie a cake honoring 50 years since she returned home.

Parting Is Sweet Sorrow
Earlier, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) said goodbye to Will (Chandler Massey) and then went to update his mother about Allie. He asked her to keep an eye on Will and thanked her for all she did for him growing up. Kate then went to see Chloe and commiserated over Lucas.

Mind Games
Leo (Greg Rikaart) asked Sonny (Freddie Smith) if he made a decision. As he was about to answer, Will answered hell no for him.

Will threatened to say he “killed” Leo, not Sonny, to save Sonny from having to marry Leo. But, Leo said they’re both going down. Sonny tried to buy him off, but Leo wanted to marry him and Sonny finally agreed.
