Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, July 30 features a happy-ish couple, a weirdly timed reveal, and Jack mourning his losses.
Wedding Preparations
It was a day of romance at the DiMera mansion. Stefan (Brandon Barash) found himself looking forward to his big day. He got their marriage license, asked Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) to be their witnesses, and slipped his mother’s massive rock on Gabi’s finger.
Gabi (Camila Banus) was one happy bride to be (despite her brother’s horror over the situation). She had a rock the size of her fist and was getting closer to her goal. Soon she’ll be Mrs. DiMera, take over the company, and watch Stefan burn!
A Curious Reveal
Meanwhile, “Nicole” starting laying the groundwork for revealing Tony was alive. She convinced Brady (Eric Martsolf) she had a nightmare about him and she wouldn’t rest until she knew it was not real. So, off they went to investigate.
They ended up “tracking Tony down” and “Nicole” acted shocked when the stumbled upon his location. OMGosh, he’s actually alive! Brady just about fell over. If he survived all that with Rolf’s help there’s no telling who else is out there.
Commissioner Eli
The cop shop became a hotbed for activity in the wake of Eve’s firing. Jack (Matthew Atkinson) had to act fast to fill the spot. Luckily, he had the perfect guy in mind. He offered the job to Eli (Lamon Archey).
Eli was thrilled, Lani was happy for him, and they knew Val would be over the moon. This is just what they need to clean up Salem and save up for their wedding. It was a win-win.
Catfight!
The brawl of the year went down in the park when Jen (Melissa Reeves) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) came face to face. An insult here, a dragging there, and Eve threw up her hands — which landed on Jen’s face. Soon, Abe (James Reynolds) appeared and busted up the party.
Later, Jack and Jen sat down for a talk about their past, present, and even their future. He said he wanted to be a better man and discussed how much he wanted his memory back. Oh well, maybe it’s time to build new memories instead of yearning for the old. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
