The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, May 21, 2020, featured Gabi being thrown under the bus, Rolf revealing a bombshell, Kayla making a massive faux pas, and Brady strong-arming Victor.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Poor Gabi (Camila Banus) was set up, lied to, and taken downtown by a very happy Lani (Sal Stowers). It turns out the serum Rolf (William Utay) pointed her to had the same drugs used to take down Abby (Kate Mansi). It was the ultimate set up.
To make things worse, Gabi saw Rolf at the station and he kicked her while she was down. No, he did not save Stefan. Maybe someone else did (is that a hint?), but not him. He just wanted out of jail and Gabi off his back.
Bad Vibes and Bad Timing
As for Jake (Brandon Barash), he tried to make sense of the whole thing and had some questions for Kayla. This did not go over well. His name may be Jake but he had Stefan’s face and that man ruined Kayla’s life. She laid into him blaming for taking away Steve, who was irreplaceable.
It was a confrontation Kayla would regret. The words came out of her mouth just as Justin came off the elevator. He heard it all and called her out. Does she love him or not?
Xander, You’re Fired
Victor (John Aniston) had it out with Brady (Eric Martsolf), who made some shocking demands. No, he did not ask Victor to drop the charges against Kristen so she and Rachel could return home because that would make too much sense. Instead, he told Vic to fire Xander (Paul Telfer). Brady wanted the company more than he wanted love. Victor obliged even though he didn’t want to.
Xander lost his job but it was nothing compared to losing Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). He tried to win her over one more time but it did not work. She kicked him out of her room and out of her life. She did thank him for saving her mom, though.
Orpheus Must Pay!
Sarah ran to the prison to be with Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). They made amends and were relived Maggie was innocent. Brady later appeared and held Maggie’s hand too. All that was left to do was make the real killer pay.
That was easier said than done. It was obvious Orpheus wouldn’t make a confession so it was up to Sonny (Freddie Smith) to convince Evan (Brock Kelly) to do the right thing. Thankfully, he did and Evan started writing up his story. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
