Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, April 8, 2020, features Kayla taking a huge risk, Eric saying goodbye to the little girl he loves as his own, and Evan getting a piece of everyone’s minds.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Tempers flared at the police station when Rafe (Galen Gering) went after Evan (Brock Kelly). He tried to make his former Manny a deal – help them lock Orpheus (who was arrested too) away forever and cut a deal or face the maximum sentence for kidnapping. Evan laughed in his face. Then, Evan called Ben.
The baddie had a few things to say to Ben, including a rather weak apology for killing Jordan (big oops, he lost control). Ben was not having it. This man killed his sister and he must pay. However, something Evan said got Ben’s wheels turning. If people were able to forgive him, shouldn’t he work to forgive Evan?
A Dangerous Dilemma
The operating room became a hub for drama when Steve’s operation went off the rails. Rolf (William Utay) was sneakier than anyone thought. He not only implanted the chip deep into Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) brain but set it to self destruct if anyone tampered with it. Poor Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) had to make the decision to risk Steve’s memories to get rid of Stefano once and for all.
In the waiting room, Jack (Matthew Ashford) sat with Justin (Wally Kurth), who was a bundle of nerves. Kayla was fighting to save her soulmate and if she succeeds he would lose her forever. He never thought he would love again after Adrienne but here he was. However, he refused to deny her the chance at love again. He decided if Steve came around, he would step away.
The Calm Before The Storm
Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) tried to make everything perfect for his and Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) big day. He picked up her dress, tried (and failed) to talk Sonny (Freddie Smith) into being his best man, and fended off Nicole and Eric when they showed up after Sarah went to bed. Nope, he would not allow anything to get in his way.
As for Eric and Nicole, they were ready to spill the truth but after an emotional day, Eric didn’t have it in him to fight. He shed enough tears saying his goodbye to Mickey, he wasn’t ready to watch Sarah do the same. They left quietly with plans to tell her the very next day – before she walks down the aisle.
