The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, May 25, 2020, features a bright moment of romance in the midst of several chaotic storylines. Nicole got a huge surprise when Eric finally got down on one knee.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Eric (Greg Vaughan) couldn’t wait to ask Nicole for her hand in marriage but he stopped to talk to Abe (James Reynolds) first. He showed off there ring and even asked Nicole’s bestie to officiate. Abe was thrilled, however, Kate (Lauren Koslow) was not.

She tried to convince Abe to steer clear of the wedding but got schooled when Abe put her in her place. Kate got in more trouble when Nicole came around. The women had a bickering match but the men stopped it before it got too bad. Kate went off to sulk and Eric pulled Nicole away.

Within minutes, Eric was down on one knee and Nicole said yes! The happy couple is now engaged and soon will be planning their wedding.

A Violent Arrest

Meanwhile, Orpheus (George DelHoyo) antagonized John (Drake Hogestyn) before hauling him off to the park. They were there to meet Marlena (Deidre Hall) who ended up bringing Steve. Orpheus was not pleased and tried to call off the deal. Steve (Steve Johnson) tazed him, rescued John, and took the baddie to the station.

The drama did not end. Justin saw Orpheus at the cop shop and lost it. He barged into the room, screamed at this wife’s killer, and even pulled a gun. He vowed revenge for Adrienne.

As for John and Marlena – they went back to the apartment but there were still in danger. Unbeknownst to them, there was a bomb under the couch.

Zoey: A Woman On The Verge

Speaking of guns and danger, Rafe (Galen Gearing) almost got himself killed rescuing David. He and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) busted down the door and were shocked to find Zoey (Alyshia Ochse) caring for David.

Things quickly went off the rails and Zoey pulled a gun. Things were not quite what they seemed, though. Zoey was not there because she wanted to be; it was because she had to be. She had to keep David there or risk losing her son. Orpheus had him and who knew how low he would go. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
