The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, September 30, 2021, features John Black getting an earful from Doug Williams, Johnny DiMera making the best of a bad situation, and Allie Horton taking Chanel Dupree into her confidence.

John Black (Drake Hogestyn) hasn’t been having the best day. First, he had to disappoint his namesake stepgrandson with the news that he and Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) won’t be investing in his film.
Then, he has to calm Marlena following a terrifying daymare. Afterward, he heads for Doug’s (Bill Hayes) sickbed and gets informed that his wife is a would-be murderous – which isn’t exactly news to him…Marlena’s tried – and failed – to kill an awful lot of Salemites over the years, and we don’t just mean during her stint as the Salem Stalker.

DAYS Recap: Star Quality
Sure, she very nearly ruined EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) marriage once upon a time, but Johnny (Carson Boatman) harbors no ill will towards Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller). In point of fact, he’d love to cast her as Marlena in his upcoming biographical horror picture; Biohorror? Horrorpic? Anyhow, Abby’s pretty thrilled with the idea.
DOOL Recap: Sound Advice
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) abides by two rules: no fighting in the Brady Pub, and no insulting his Samantha Gene. And in spite of EJ breaking rule number two, and coming perilously close to do the same with rule number one, Roman still imparted some words of wisdom and sound parenting advice. Whether or not EJ deems to put it all into practice remains to be seen.
