Days of Our Lives Recap: Has Ben Made A New Friend?

The Days of Our Lives recap (DOOL) for Thursday, August 16 features a showdown at the loft with a surprise winner.

Ciara and Tripp Clash
Tripp and Ciara argued about Ben when Ciara insisted that he was showering there because the homeless shelter is crowded. When Tripp ordered Ben to get out, Ciara countered by telling him that he could stay.

Tripp then asked Claire if she’d be okay with Ben moving in. Ciara tried to appeal to Claire and Claire voted to let Ben stay.

Meanwhile, Abe told Hope and Rafe that Ben refused to leave town and is staying at a homeless shelter. Hope swore vengeance if Ben went back on his deal.

Pre-Nuptial Drama and Heartache
John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) discussed Kayla, and Steve concluded that she was in danger. He then confronted her in the office about Stefan’s continued threat.

Kayla insisted that she couldn’t betray confidences, and there was nothing to worry about. But when she left, Steve cracked her phone code — and Kayla caught him!

Meanwhile, Marlena (Deidre Hall) asked Claire earlier if she was concerned about Ciara (Victoria Konefal). Claire said she was and also expressed her concern about Tripp (Lucas Adams) no longer paying her any attention.

Later, John and Marlena reunited to discuss the wedding, and Abe revealed that he reserved the town square for the ceremony. Marlena was still heartbroken that Sami wasn’t coming.

Stefan Made A Threat
Stefan (Tyler Christopher) demanded to see the results of Abby’s (Marci Miller) tests and threatened to destroy the bionic eye if Kayla didn’t comply. Kayla gave him the most basic information, but Stefan pressed on and demanded Abby’s medical records and Kayla complied.

Abby then caught Stefan looking at her medical records and ultrasound and he covered, claiming it was work-related.

At the mansion, Chad (Billy Flynn) mused that Abby’s going through hell, but he doesn’t know how he’ll get past everything. Gabi, meanwhile, continued to twist Chad’s mind against Abby.
