Days Of Our Lives Recap (DOOL): Ciara Begged Ben To Stay!

Today’s Days of Our Lives recap (DOOL) for Friday, August 10, features Ciara begging Ben to stay in Salem, despite Hope’s objections.

Ciara Told Ben To Stay
Ben told Ciara about her mother’s offer for him to skip town. Concerned that staying in Salem will spell certain doom, Ben said that he really has no other choice but to pack up and leave.

Ciara believes her mother is bluffing and told Ben as much, saying she was worried about him and was not giving up fighting for him.

The two then literally fell into an awkward situation, but it looks like Ben isn’t going anywhere.

Rafe (Galen Gering) cautioned Hope that going overboard in her vendetta against Ben could lead to a harassment lawsuit.

But Rafe also confessed that he knows he did Hope wrong, and he’ll never forgive himself for doing so. Hope indicated she is open for a reconciliation and they shared an intimate dance — only to be interrupted by a phone call from Gabi (Camila Banus).

Abby Is Heartbroken, and Chad Gets Manipulated
Abby (Marci Miller) told JJ (Casey Moss) about Chad (Billy Flynn) stomping off. JJ informed Abby that while Gabi has been a friend to her, she’s also been a friend to Chad — and he’s a little suspicious about her intent.

Meanwhile, at the Kirakis mansion, Chad overheard Sonny calling Will about paying off Ted. Sonny is trying to buy Ted’s silence about the Leo situation. Chad asked him what the story was, but Sonny brushed it off as a business deal.

Satisfied, Chad confessed to Sonny that he walked out on Abby and shared his concerns about his decision. Gabi overheard the conversation and decided to worm her way into Chad’s mind.

After an emotional reunion with her daughter, in which she confessed everything about her stint in jail, Sonny invited Gabi to stay. She accepted and used her position to twist Chad’s mind about Abby.

Marlena Has Pre-Wedding Jitters
John (Drake Hogestyn) walked in on Marlena (Deidre Hall) trying on her dress after the alterations, which threw her into a tizzy. Marlena can’t shake the feeling that something bad is in the air.

John tried to assuage her fears, and ultimately, he convinced her that their wedding will be amazing.

They end up in bed together, and later, Marlena got a call from Sami that didn’t go well at all.
