The Days of Our Lives spoilers for February 8-12, 2021, features yet another Horton biting the dust, two parent-child reunions, a wedding, and so much more!

Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights

Laura (Jaime Lyn Bauer) darkened Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) door and offered feeble excuses for the role she played in the young woman’s miserable upbringing. The tense standoff eventually devolved into physical violence, and in the struggle, Laura lost her footing and struck her head on an end table. The blow proved to be a fatal one

Afterward, Gwen phoned Jack (Matthew Ashford) and revealed her situation. He convinced her to report the crime, rather than attempt to hide the body, and once Gwen was taken in for questioning, Jack retired to the Horton home and informed Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Abigail (Marci Miller) of Laura’s passing.

Playing Keep Away

While Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) fruitlessly searched for a way out of the room they were imprisoned in, Ivan (Ivan G’Vera) had to explain to Vivian (Linda Dano) that the twins actually belonged to the Grants.

After briefly considering her options, Vivian decided her best course of action was to permanently eliminate the troublesome parents. But the two quickly got the drop on their would-be assassin.

Soon the sextet was back in Salem. The Grants and their babies were safely ensconced in their home, and Ivan and Vivian were at the police station awaiting processing. Vivian feigned a nervous breakdown – all in the hopes of being acquitted on the grounds of mental incompetence.

Unluckily for her, Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Jake (Brandon Barash) decided to prove her sanity by driving her mad with the reveal of their love affair. Mission accomplished!

Double Trouble

Despite her belief that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) was probably still mean, mean, mean, Susan (Stacy Haiduk) agreed to a face-to-face with her doppelganger. During the visit, Kristen proposed an audacious scheme: she and Susan switch places, thus allowing Kristen to tend to Brady (Eric Martsolf) and ensure that Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) can’t make a move on him. Susan wasn’t sold on the idea, but she agreed to mull it over.

Labor Of Love

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) shared a dreamscape in which they reenacted Romeo & Juliet from beginning to its bitter conclusion. Upon awakening, Ben was more certain than ever that his wife was alive and desperately trying to communicate with him. And how right he was.

When Ciara spotted her jailer’s discarded cellphone, she pilfered it and placed a call to Ben who immediately recognized his caller’s voice.

Aisle Be There

To mark Valentin’s Day, and evoke memories of a previous ceremony, Steve (Stephen Nichols) arranged a surprise wedding for himself and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Tripp (Lucas Addams) served as best man, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) pinch-hit as Kayla’s maid of honor (since mourning precluded Jennifer’s involvement), and Abe (James Reynolds) officiated.

Civic Duty

When Ava (Tamara Braun) threatened to cooperate with the Salem P.D., Charlie (Mike Manning) made a move to permanently silence her…only to be stopped in his tracks by Rafe (Galen Gering) and Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) prompt arrival.

When the two realized what they had walked in on, concern for Ava’s well being was raised, and Nicole pointed out that Rafe could accommodate Ava’s need for a safe haven. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
