The Days of Our Lives recap for July 27-31, 2020, features a kidnappers plan being revealed, a new life coming into the world, and more.
Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights
What do John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) all have in common? They were brainwashed into doing bad, bad things.
And now Eve (Kassie DePaiva) is absolutely convinced that she can add Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) name to that list. But rather than creating a super soldier for hire or a money-hungry lothario, she wants to reactivate Ben’s serial killer impulses and then send him on his merry way back to Ciara (Victoria Konefal). Then justice will have been served and Paige (True O’Brien) avenged….right?
Not if Ciara and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) have anything to say about it. They’re bound and determined to suss out the identity of Ben’s abductor together – since a hug and a quick apology cleared up that whole Ciara swearing to see Claire locked back up in an asylum thing.
It took some time before they hit on Eve as the most likely suspect – after dismissing the likes of Victor (John Aniston), Sonny (Freddie Smith), JJ (Casey Moss), and Tripp (Lucas Adams) – but once the connection was made they set off to get some answers from Hope (Kristian Alfonso). Don’t forget, she managed to track Miss Donovan down in order to apologize for framing her for attempted murder.
Sami Never Learns From Her Mistakes
Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) continued interference in Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) life resulted in the young woman going into labor. Okay, okay, we can’t be absolutely certain that it was Sami’s fault – you’re right as usual Eric (Greg Vaughan) – but since Allie’s water broke right in the middle of her screaming at her mother, it’s a pretty safe bet.
To add insult to Sami’s injury (and let’s face it, fragile) ego, Allie insisted that she depart the hospital and leave her and Auntie Nicole (Arianne Zucker) to delivery duties. Sami didn’t listen, of course, and she received further rebukes from Allie once her son was born.
Four Is Definitely Company
Chad could really use a friend. Or a woman. Or a woman friend. But what he really needs is a person who can spy on Gabi (Camila Banus) and report her every move back to him. He found all the above -plus a housemate – in Gwen (Emily O’Brien) his one-time drinking buddy and the …we’re gonna say girlfriend of his newly-acquired brother Jake (Brandon Barash). Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings or airtimes.
