The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, April 2, 2021, features Ava taking Nicole into her confidence, John confiding in Marlena, and Rafe putting his deductive reasoning to good use.
Ava (Tamara Braun) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) shared an awkward breakfast and both tip-toed around the issue of Charlie’s (Mike Manning) death, and the fact that each paid the wretch a visit just prior to his expiration.
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) interrupted the proceedings in order to hand out apology sweets. She’s really, really sorry she accused Ava of killing her no-good son.
But she’s not as sorry as Ava…who has a big confession to make. She kinda sorta broke into Charlie’s apartment, found him dying on the floor, and choked out a less than convincing “I love you” before he met his maker.
And she’s totally willing to come clean about her actions…if it weren’t for the fact that she saw Tripp leaving the premises shortly before going in. Call her crazy, but Ava doesn’t want to implicate her good child in a felony. Does Nicole understand?
Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) gathered at the hospital and bemoaned Jan’s (Heather Lindell) miraculous recovery. During a subsequent visit from her favorite playthings, Jan intimated that she couldn’t recall a thing concerning her entrance into her coma.
But when Shawn brought out the handcuffs, and Jan realized that it wasn’t for sexy fun times, she “suddenly” recalled John (Drake Hogestyn) wrapping his hands around her throat and squeezing. Checkmate kiddos!
Over at the police station, Rafe (Galen Gering) informed Sami (Alison Sweeney) that the only way she was getting off a murder charge was for him to do some old-fashioned investigating. Seconds later, he found the information needed to corroborate Sami’s outlandish tale. Congratulations on a job well done, Rafe.
Meanwhile, John complained to Marlena (Deidre Hall) about his yet-to-be-explained blackouts and his still uncontrollable outbursts. Oh, and by the way, he’s remembered something about that punk’s death.
He may, or may not, have played a hand in the end…the only thing he’s sure of is that a gun went off in his general vicinity. Did he fire it? Did he see who did? Only the shadows know – for now. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
