The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, March 17, 2021, features Ben keeping the faith, Gabi hurling accusations, and the case of the missing firearm.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlight

After failing in his attempts to calm Ciara (Victoria Konefal) down and get her to remember their life together, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was ushered out of her recovery room.

Later, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) gently explained that Ciara is suffering from amnesia – temporary or otherwise – and the only thing she knows about Ben is that he’s a murderer.

Tattle And Hum

Ava’s (Tamara Braun) presence really began to grate on Gabi (Camila Banus), who decided that Rafe’s (Galen Gering) abode wasn’t big enough for all three of them. So, she made up her mind to leave, but not before postulating that her soon-to-be ex-housemate murdered her son.

Ava did, despite claims to the contrary, slip out on the night the crime occurred. But she promises Tripp (Lucas Adams) that she’s innocent…of this crime at least. She is still the head of the Vitali crime family though – or at least she was up until a few weeks ago. Sorry about that hun!

Key Components

Rafe swung by the DiMera mansion, interrupted Jake (Brandon Barash) and Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) canoodling, and accused the latter of being the one who shot Charlie Dale (Mike Manning). After all, the fatal bullet was fired from her gun.

Poppycock argued Kate. Her gun was and still is, safely locked away inside a case hidden in her bedroom closet. And just to prove her point, Kate handed over said box and the combination to it.

Quelle surprise! The gun is missing! Kate swears she didn’t retrieve it. Maybe one of the servants took it out for a test shoot? Or how about one of the eleventeen people currently in residence? Either way, Kate was left with egg on her face and a cloud of suspicion hanging over her head.

The Big Slip

Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) was acting all kinds of shady. First, she wouldn’t answer this simple question posed by Claire – did you kill Charlie? Then, she didn’t seem the least bit pleased to hear that new evidence had come to light that might exonerate her mother.

And that all might have something to do with the fact that it was Allie who snuck into the DiMera mansion, under the cover of darkness, and purloined her grandmother’s gun. Detective Hernandez, you have a third suspect to add to your murder board! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
