Days of our Lives Recap: Ciara Drops Engagement Bombshell On Ben

The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, July 2, 2021, features Ciara Brady Weston laying the verbal smackdown on hubby Ben, and Gwen Rizczech and Xander Cook debating the best way to solve a problem like Julie Williams.

Since Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) seemed to have the wrong end of the stick, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) happily corrected him. No, she’s not there to talk reconciliation; and no, she hasn’t gotten her memory back.

In point of fact, she’s back in Salem to collect those divorce papers she airmailed him one month previous. Too bad, so sad, came Ben’s reply; he then added, I shan’t be signing them.

When Ciara inquired as to why that was, Ben revealed that he’d reduced them to ash. Have no fear, Ciara’s here with a copy – and a pen! Ben insisted that he wouldn’t be signing them; Ciara told him he had to – she’s engaged to Theo (Cameron Johnson)!

Questions and Answers

Gwen (Emily O’Brien) wasn’t the least bit pleased to hear from Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) that Dr. Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) corpse had been found by a group of revelers – including her cousin Tripp (Lucas Adams), who’d landed her square in the frame for the man’s death with his Dudley Do-Right sense of honesty.

After giving her best-curated answers to Eli’s probing questions, Gwen lit into Xander for his poor effort at getting rid of their problem. He countered that Gwen had really let them down by lying about the last time she saw the not-so-good doc.

Eli’s notes have that meeting taking place at the hospital – but never forget a face Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) can place Dr. Snyder at the Horton House. What on earth are they to do? Besides, kill Julie? Because that isn’t an option….right?

DOOL: Surprises Abound

Thanks to Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) inability to keep a secret, Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) walked into her and Eli’s engagement party knowing exactly what to expect…but at least she was genuinely surprised by Theo’s appearance…and the sudden entrance of a construction foreman in want of Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) Jane Hancock.

The assemblage was aghast when Abe managed to put two and two together and realized that Paulina planned to level the town square – but his and Eli’s attempt to put a stop to the work might all be for naught!
