The Days of Our Lives recap for March 16-20, 2020, features a canvas full of parents… some good and some not so much. In addition, there’s an explanation for a recent resurrection, the (possible) awakening of a heroine, and much more!
The bond between a parent and a child can be a beautiful thing… unless it’s exploited for personal gain or it comes under threat of being severed.
Say what you will about Orpheus (George DelHoyo) but at least he’s doing his utmost to protect Evan (Brock Kelly) and his grandson – even if he isn’t exactly going about it the right way.
In contrast, SteVano (Stephen Nichols) has brainwashed his “beloved” Chad (Billy Flynn) into becoming the Pawn 2.0… and he wants him to do bad, bad things. Which is good for SteVano (what criminal kingpin wants to get their hands dirty) but bad news for Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Gabi (Camila Banus) – whom Chad has knocked unconscious – and Abigail (Kate Mansi) who returned home at the most inopportune of moments.
And as for poor Eric (Greg Vaughn), if Nicole (Arianne Zucker) has anything to do with it, Xander’s (Paul Telfer) baby switch secret is going to be exposed the world over – and she’s got the requisite DNA to do it!
Kristen: “Orpheus – I’ve heard that name before. Who is he?” John: “He was an old ISA agent partner of mine. He went rogue. He kidnapped Marlena, forced her to raise his kids.” No John (Drake Hogestyn). He was ROMAN’s (Josh Taylor) partner; the man you believed yourself to be for most of the 1980s and early ’90s.
Evan: “So the paramedics Steve called actually worked for the ISA? ” Orpheus: “Pamela Vandamn was head of ISA then. And she assumed I’d be willing to give up my secrets in exchange for my life.” Well, that’s as good an explanation as any.
Ciara: “So the judge threw out Evan’s confession.” Ben: “How is that even possible.” Ciara: “…I had an actual gun to his head. Apparently that is coercion.” No doubts about it Ms. Brady. It’s actually a textbook example.
Hope: “I just learned that I spent the last year and a half with a chip in my head, behaving like a psychopath, trying to kill my cousin. How am I suppose to be feeling?” The better question is: Are you really Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) or did Princess Gina and Rolf (William Utay) manage to pull off the con of the century?
Mansion Blanche is dead, long live Mansion Blanche. But rather than rebuild his palatial New Orleans pad in the City of Second Chances, SteVano has had it recreated in Salem – all to impress his Marlenabot (Deidre Hall).
Xander to Nicole: “You’re gonna bash my romantic history? You’re one to talk. Let’s delve into yours for a second shall we?” Okay. Let’s see…there was the despicable Trent Robbins, then Eric whom she dumped for Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) – and the $5 million she would earn for marrying him (bigamously as it turned out). And then there was Victor (John Aniston), EJ, Brady…
Dr. Raynor: You’re out of your mind. Baby switches only happen on TV and in the movies.” Nicole: “I did it myself.” Touché, Ms. Walker, touché. Days of Our Lives s airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
