Days of Our Lives Recap: It’s A Big Day For The Deveraux Clan!

The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, February 20 features emotional near-farewells, handcuffs for some, and unkept secrets for others. Just another day in good ol’ Salem, USA.

Chad (Billy Flynn) refused to leave Salem without making Abigail (Kate Mansi) his wife. The on-again, off-again couple spilled the good news to their friends and family that they were getting married, leaving town and it was all happening — TODAY.

There was nothing Chad wanted more than a new beginning with Abby and the kids, but it would cost their family some major tears.

With just hours before they had to leave town, the couple’s family cried over Chabby’s big move to Paris, but they knew a fresh start would be best for the young family.

Over at JJ’s (Casey Moss) apartment, Jack (Mathew Ashford) warned his son about the dangers of harboring an illegal immigrant, and that he must protect JJ at all costs, even if it meant Haley (Thia Megia) would be deported.

Jack told JJ that Haley was just using him for a green card, just as Haley walked in on them talking.

It was a case of saved by the door bell, JJ’s mom, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) interrupted the trio just as Jack was about to tell Haley that JJ shared her secret with him.

JJ was utterly relieved that his mom arrived bearing good news about Chabby’s last minute-wedding. Jack was stunned to be invited, yet he hesitated about going.

Meanwhile, at the Salem PD, Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey) were interrogated. But, without tangible evidence, they didn’t stand a chance against Leo (Greg Rikaart).

Marlena (Deidre Hall) told Leo he will never get away with framing them, but Leo was confident his pictures would put them away for good.
