The Days of Our Lives recap for December 28, 2020-January 1, 2021, features the ringing in of a new year and a whole new set of problems being teed up for the next twelve months.
Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights
To quote Kate Roberts, “Next year will have to be a lot better than this one.” But who exactly finished out 2021 (least we forget Salem is a full twelve months ahead of us) as the biggest loser?
We’re going to have to go with Chad (Billy Flynn). Especially since he allowed himself to be manipulated into committing adultery with the obviously evil Gwen (Emily O’Brien). If only he and Abigail (Marci Miller) had joined Anna (Leann Hunley) and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) in a viewing of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.
However, we will give Chad this: it would greatly behoove Abigail and Jake (Brandon Barash) not to conduct conversations inside each other’s bedrooms whilst in varying stages of undress. It does appear unseemly and we can understand why Chad might just be a tad suspicious. After all, Abigail might have DID to blame for her tryst with Stefan (Brandon Barash), but she cant use it to excuse her affair with E.J. nor her perusal of Austin Reed.
DAYS Musings
After much deliberation, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) finally agreed upon a pair of names for their twins: Carver Malcolm and Julia Harriet. What do you think about the choices? And who do you think is lurking behind the corner, and spying on the wee tots?
How surprised were you to see Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Kate actually sit down, joke about their recent misunderstandings and discuss Kate’s love life at length? Could these two form the next unlikely friendship – behind Jennifer and Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) of course?
Also, do you agree with Jake’s assumption that Kate is merely embarrassed by his profession, or do you think that her reluctance to make their affair public goes far deeper?
And speaking of Jennifer, correct us if we’re wrong, but wasn’t the DiMera New Year’s Eve bash held at the same restaurant where Miss Deveraux took her near-fatal plunge? If so, she handled the situation with style and panache. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
