Days of our Lives Recap: Ben’s Safe But For How Long

The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, August 5, 2020 features Ciara rescuing Ben, Hope making a wildly terrible mistake, and Allie laying down the law with her family.

Ciara (Victoria Konefal) found Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) close to death but she brought him around. Ben remembered the wedding, the explosion, and almost all the details on his kidnapping and torture. He also remembered loving Ciara. However, his pull towards his tie was also there.

Unaware they had visitors, Vincent (Michael Teh) returned to the scene of the crime. The good news is, the villain is there. The bad news is, he isn’t answering any questions. The great news is, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) was able to take him down easily. It’s just too bad she was dumb enough to walk away. Vincent got out of the cuffs and escaped.

No One Is Getting Allie’s Baby

The adoption drama heats up with Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Rafe (Galen Gering) each spreading baby news. Rafe and Sami (Alison Sweeney) had it out in the hallway. Yes, he told Allie everything. No, he will not be taking the baby. Allie told WilSon much the same. Only, she had a twist — they weren’t getting the tot either.

Allie knows all about Will’s (Chandler Massey) role in Sami’s manipulations and deception. She thought her big brother was on her side, but no, he was in on the whole thing too. That’s news to Sonny (Freddie Smith) and he loses his cool. He storms out on his husband and tells him to stay away from him — for good this time.

Life Begins Again

Steve (Stephen Nichols) showed up at Kayla’s apartment and announced he’s moving in. All good with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). She’s ready to start their lives together again. Why wait and date when they can jump in with both feet?

Watch for the couple to take a walk down memory lane. Kayla remembered the good, and Steve remembered all the times he was bad, especially as SteVano. It’s all okay, though. Kayla has a forgiving heart and is ready to be back where she belongs.

Bonnie Needs To Lawyer Up

Bonnie (Judi Evans) fumed over a loophole in her book contract and turned to Justin (Wally Kurth) for support. Not because he is a friend but because he just so happened to also be in the square. Boy, she needs a lawyer. Oh wait, he’s a lawyer! Well, isn’t that convenient. Um, not so much. Justin is an absolute no. Why would he take her case? You’re on your own, sweetie.
