Days of our Lives Recap: Ben Went Back To Choking People

The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, April 16, 2020, features more twists in the baby David saga, Hope living with regrets, and Kayla torn between two men.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Ciara (Victoria Konefal) surprised Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) with a day of baby David but their joy quickly went off the rails. Evan (Brock Kelly) lawyered up and got out of jail just in time to intercept them at the park. The couple fought back, much to Evan’s dismay. Evan called out for his son and Ben jumped into action. He wrapped his hands around Evan’s neck and threatened to squeeze the life out of him.

Legal Twists

Back at the station, Rafe (Galen Gering), and freshly reinstated Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) were appalled by Evan’s legal eagle getting him out of cuffs. Zoey (Kelly Thiebaud) didn’t care. She warned them they were playing with fire. She had both Evan and Orpheus out of jail and planned to keep it that way.

Things went further off the rails when Rafe got home. He walked in expecting to find Ciara and the baby but was greeted by Orpheus instead.

Did I Do That?

Meanwhile, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) tries to work through terrible memory flashes as her time as Gina. The Princess used her body to commit unspeakable crimes and do some very shady things. Hope blamed herself for not being strong enough to overcome a memory chip. She especially felt guilty for what she did to Jen (Melissa Reeves). Of course, Jen didn’t blame her.

Steve: The Girl Is Mine

Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) room was a hub of activity with multiple visitors popping in. Sonny (Freddie Smith) gave his uncle the rundown of Adrienne’s accident (leaving to Maggie was behind the wheel) and the Kayla and Justin (Wally Kurth) affair. It’s love, he told Steve.

Steve was worked up by the time Kayla came to check on him. He told her his heart was broken, showed a flash of jealousy, and called her sweetness to try to win her over. She left the room shaken and confused about what to do. Little did she know, Justin was heading in for a faceoff with Steve to settle this like men. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
