The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, June 17, 2021, features Rafe cautioning Ben to let go, Paulina failing to lead by example, and Justin making Bonnie’s whole year in a very sweet moment.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Having spent the night in the cabin where he and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) fell in love, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was a little worse for wear – and in completely the wrong mood to appreciate Rafe’s (Galen Gering) caution to love his wife enough to set her free.
Luckily Claire (Isabel Durant) was around to encourage Ben not to give up the good fight. Equally lucky was the appearance of a lighter, which Ben used to burn his and Ciara’s divorce papers. It was a symbolic gesture to be sure, but terribly impractical. How many times does something – or someone – in that poor cabin have to be set alight before it finally crumbles to ashes?
Buss Report
Paulina (Jackée Harry) is a worldly woman and hip to boot…but even she had to be schooled about Chanel’s (Precious Way) sexual identity. For the record, she’s neither gay nor straight – and she’s not even bisexual. The word of the day, folks, is fluid.
Business & Pleasure
What do you do when you’ve just narrowly escaped being arrested for attempting to murder your mortal enemy? Get frisky with your husband of course! And unlike Jan (Heather Lindell), Belle (Martha Madison) doesn’t need the added thrill of seeing Shawn (Brandon Beemer) in a baseball uniform.
Meanwhile, in a perfect example of do what I say, and not what I do, Paulina took business partner Abe (James Reynolds) on a tour of her new apartment – starting and ending in her boudoir!
Rafe and Ava (Tamara Braun) got down to likewise shenanigans, but only after they’d had a serious talk about their relationship, and Rafe had said that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) was well and truly in his rear-view mirror.
This Crazy Thing Called Love
Steve (Stephen Nichols) issued Bonnie (Judi Evans) a half-ass apology about not trying hard enough to be civil with her – in spite of the fact that he failed to even try.
Bonnie and Justin (Wally Kurth) stormed out of the restaurant, and the latter declared their love for the former; he also swore it had nothing to do with her resemblance to his dead wife…but it didn’t hurt matters either. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
