Days of our Lives Recap: Belle Realizes Exactly Who Killed Charlie

The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, May 5, 2021, features Brady/Black clans desperate to uncover the identity of the mysterious Lady In Red, Xander in need of perspective, Chanel in want of a roof over her head, and Jan ready for matrimonial turn.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlight

Sure, sure. Sami (Alison Sweeney) may hate Belle (Martha Madison) a tiny smidge. She did try to sell her on the black market after all. But nothing compares to the hatred that Jan (Heather Lindell) carries in her heart for Mrs. Shawn Douglas Brady.

So, it only stands to reason that Jan was the one who actually shot and killed Charlie Dale (Mike Manning). Now, if she’d had left it there, everyone would have probably kept quiet – Charlie was no great loss. But Jan had to go and frame Belle for the crime. And that is unacceptable.

Hardcore Pawn

Hey Claire (Isabel Durant), hollered Xander (Paul Telfer). Any interest in purchasing a third-hand, unethically sourced engagement ring from a drunk serial proposer? Hard pass, declared Claire.

But Claire did take an interest in trying to bolster Xander’s spirits and put him on the right track. So, she tapped into her own history where therapy sessions were concerned, played armchair psychiatrist, and cautioned Xander that he had two options – continue to wallow in his filth and misery or get up and “do something about it!”

Family Helping Family

Chanel (Precious Way) had a big ole favor to ask of Lani (Sal Stowers): can she move in with her…and her husband…and her newborn twins? Lani gave the request a ponder – and decided HELL NO!

But, she was willing to help her cousin find a job. How about secretarial work at the SPD? Nah, wouldn’t work out, claimed Chanel. How about playing nanny to the twins? Absolutely not, said Chanel.

So what’s a frazzled Lani to do? Why, completely change her mind and decide that it’s totally fine for Chanel to crash on her couch. What else is family for? No, really. Lani really wants to know.

The Jokes Right Themselves

Miss Spears might not get why her desire to become Mrs. Jan Brady is so funny, but Bonnie (Judi Evans) certainly did. And if she was being honest, Claire understood as well.
