Something about Santa seemed awfully familiar to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). It took mere minutes for her to figure out it was Steve (Stephen Nichols). She followed him and called him out and was furious when he didn’t answer.

The encounter had SteVano raging too. He flipped out on Kate and demanded she does damage control. She tried to talk to Kayla but it did no good. Kayla knew she wasn’t crazy.

Where In the World Is Stefano

Speaking of the Phoenix, Marlena (Deidre Hall) was shocked to find another gift from her secret admirer. This time, she wasn’t messing around. She showed the broach to John (Drake Hogestyn) and demanded he fingerprint it. Either Stefano is back and hiding or has a new face or someone is out there torturing her.

That wasn’t their only shocker. John was floored to find a new roomie lurking about. Hattie was there, in the flesh, and Marlena invited her to stay.

Does He Still Love Me?

Over at Eric’s, Brady (Eric Martsolf) visited Nicole (Arianne Zucker). He gave her a gift from Eric and she was thrilled until she realized it was for Holly with no mention of her at all. Brady reminded her Eric had more important things to worry about.

Nicole did get a pick-me-up when Brady told her about Kristen. She’s a nun now (as far as he knew) and just took her vows (last he heard). They had a good laugh over the baddie turning over a new leaf.

Xander: Does This Look Familiar?

In Chicago, Xander (Paul Telfer) second-guessed his decision to show up but Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) was thrilled. There was no place she would rather have him be on Christmas. They shared a meal, he gave her a stunning bracelet, and they almost kissed again.

As it turned out, he wasn’t just there to see her. He was fishing for intel on Ciara (Victoria Konefal). Xander showed her a snap of his lockbox and she confirmed it was the same kind Ciara was drilling into. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
